The meeting was chaired by NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and broadcast live on national television and radio channels, and the legislature’s TV channel.

Le Thi Nga, head of the NA Committee for Judicial Affairs, presented a report on supervision outcomes of the implementation of policies and laws on child abuse prevention and control.

The lawmakers then discussed online the enforcement of these policies and laws.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam clarified issues raised by the deputies during the discussion.

Most of the legislators agreed with the achievements as well as limitations mentioned in the supervision report, while giving proposals to improve the quality of the work.

They were scheduled to meet online on May 28th morning to look into the national target program on socio-economic development in mountainous and ethnic minority-inhabited areas for 2021-2030, and the draft law on investment in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).

On May 28th afternoon, they engaged in another online debate on the State budget settlement in 2018, and scrutinise the draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Dyke Law./.
