According to Major General Nguyen Hoang Nhien, Director of the VIMH, this is the eighth training course of its kind organised by the institute.

The month-long course will equip 25 Lao officers with basic knowledge, methods and experience in military history research and war review, he said.

Earlier this year, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence launched a project to help Laos upgrade the Lao Military History Museum.

The project costs nearly 37 billion VND (about 1.6 million USD) is scheduled to complete in September this year.-VNA
